BROWNBACK GOES TO OHIO

In a week where several states jumped aboard the Straight Talk Express, a reader writes from Ohio:

Senator Sam Brownback spoke at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio last night (10/24). Franciscan is the best well-known conservative orthodox Catholic school in the nation. Brownback, who converted to Catholicism in 2002, was greeted by over 400 students (our school has about 1900 undergrads) with cheers of Brownback, Brownback, Brownback. When asked if he was going to run for president, the entire room cheered wildly. The event was packed and was standing-room only… If Santorum does not win re-election, Brownback could easily become the candidate of choice for social-conservatives for 2008.

Franciscan University of Steubenville CRs have become a major player and force in Ohio College Republicans and would endorse his candidacy…
